Masters Week Memories of Mimmie
What I miss most of all this Masters Week is Mimmie. Here we are in 2019 at Club Magnolia, our last normal Masters Week before the COVID pandemic would change everything. Mimmie was always very proud for our band to play for Club Magnolia. We started out playing for the club in 2007, in the azalea bushes, haha! We are so proud of how the club has grown through the years, and we are grateful to have been a part of it. Here’s to 2022 at Club Magnolia!
The flowers are blooming beautifully at Mimmie’s house this Masters Week. I know she is enjoying the gorgeous flowers in Heaven now.
While going through Mimmie’s things, I found a stack of these poems that I had typed and printed for her. She always kept these on hand to send with sympathy cards for people during their time of bereavement. I always regarded this poem as beautiful and comforting, but it has taken on greater meaning for me now that Mimmie is in Heaven. Reading this poem was like Mimmie & Jesus were giving me a reminder I needed.
In closing, we’d like to leave you with a little video that captures some of our favorite memories from The Family Fold performing at Club Magnolia for Masters Week.
And we’d like to keep our Masters Week tradition, and send this song out to our friend, Tom… “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.”
